As America slowly tortures itself for Election Day – the moment that will essentially define the future of America and the world, I wonder what chain of events will unfold. What will become of the center stage? A storm has been brewing in the cold hearts of the hateful across the land. Yet on this very same land before the dawn of the so-called new world, newcomers of the west arrived with hateful cold hearts. For the native hunters, the moonlight played a significant role to help them prepare for the coming winter. Centuries later I am reminded of a time long forgotten. How something simple as moonlight made a difference between life and death.
Will Election Day mark the end of this new world? Are the hateful cold hearts from the time before anymore different than the hateful cold hearts from today? Will we cause our own destruction? I hope just as tonight’s moonlight shines brighter than most nights, the future of the world will also shine brighter than all the times before. After all we have been to the moon and back. I guess in a way we are all each other’s moonlight. And that can make all the difference between life and death.
